In 1997, we chartered a CSY (Caribbean Sailing Yacht) in the Virgin Islands. Bob loved that type of boat, so in 1998, we bought a CSY 44WO (a 44 foot WalkOver There were two models in this length. The WalkOver you came up into the cockpit to go into the main saloon where the galley was. In the WalkThrough, there was a passage beside the engine room to walk through).

These boats were made for charter in the late 70s. They were quite stout boats and in the original configuration the CSY 44s slept 8, with a galley, two heads, and a separate shower.

In the summer of 2000, friends of ours (Max and Lucette) went sailing with us one day. Bob put Max and me out in the dinghy and he and Lucette sailed around us in our boat. Max and I took photos of the boat under sail.

In the winter of 2000-2001, our first time down the ICW (Intercoastal Waterway) from the Chesapeake to Florida and the Bahamas, we just went as far as Bimini and Lucaya in the Bahamas and and then returned home

This blog will be the story of what happened next.
